Baby Showering!
It may not seem like it in much of the country, but here in the desert southwest, you can almost feel Spring in the air already. And that’s the sort of thing that just brings to mind new life, new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has– oh wait. Wrong blog.
But seriously, nothing says “Spring is Here” quite like babies! Those sweet, innocent little things – that in the case of humans – just scream “It’s Baby Shower Time!” (Although, come to think of it – why don’t we have Puppy Showers?)
But Baby Showering is what this blog post is all about (in case you haven’t guessed yet).
Pink – or blue….? Of course, it used to be the answer to that question wasn’t found out until the birthday came around. Nowadays, the mom-to-be discovers that news early (sometimes REALLY early) on. But that’s okay — it just means there’s more time to shop, and more time to plan The Perfect Baby Shower Event!
That’s where the cake comes in. (You had to see that coming.)
The traditional look of the stork arriving with a sweet bundle, kids’ building blocks, or baby booties in the appropriate color scheme are always popular and a classic choice for a baby shower centerpiece (the kind that’s edible, that is).
Or perhaps baby animals is the theme of your celebration – in which case, we’ve got that base covered, too.
More and more, it a matter of featuring the sweet little dickens-to-be him-(or her)-self – with adorable tushies, or as tiny tots peeking out from under a swaddling blanket.
But what about STUFF?! Because you know the parents-to-be are gonna need lots and lots of stuff to go along with taking care of their little bundle of joy. That’s why they make stylish Juicy Couture diaper bags – and why we replicate them in taste form, like this:
Or – you can even head a completely different direction and feature the upcoming tot’s current living arrangement.
Of course, if the baby-mama Is looking to be surprised herself with an adorable “gender reveal” event – that’s one way to make a party both a baby shower AND a mystery party!
However you choose to help your loved ones celebrate an upcoming blessed event, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: It ain’t a party if there’s no cake!
