Ordering Policies at Pastry Palace
Ordering policies help Pastry Palace prepare custom cakes, wedding cakes and large event cakes with clear timing, accurate details and reliable scheduling.
All Pastry Palace cakes for weddings and other large events are custom-made. To make sure every cake is prepared exactly as requested, and to keep our bakery schedule organized for all clients, we maintain standard ordering policies. Please review these details before placing an order. If anything is unclear, customers are welcome to call or email the bakery before finalizing their cake.
Before You Order
Included Cake, Icing and Filling Choices
Basic cake pricing includes select cake flavors, icings and fillings. Specialty cake flavors, fillings and icings may be available at an additional cost. If you want an optional selection quoted for your cake, please tell Pastry Palace when discussing your order.

Important Cake Ordering Policies
These ordering policies protect the customer’s event date, the bakery production schedule and the quality of the finished cake.
Pricing Quotes
Email or telephone price quotes are estimates only and are good for 5 days. Quotes cannot be guaranteed without a deposit. Dates cannot be guaranteed unless Pastry Palace receives a deposit or full payment by phone or in person at least 7 days before the scheduled event.
Finalizing Your Order
No later than 14 days before the event, Pastry Palace needs the final guest count and any last-minute changes. Final payment must also be received no later than 14 days before the scheduled event. If final payment or approved arrangements are not made by that time, the order may be canceled and monies may be forfeited.
Payment
A minimum down payment of 50% is required when placing the order to guarantee the selected delivery date and time. The order is not valid or binding until the down payment has been received. Payment in full is required no less than 14 days before delivery.
Cancellation Policy
- More than 14 days before the event: refund granted minus a $50 rebooking fee.
- Between 7 and 14 days before the event: refund granted minus a 50% cancellation fee.
- Less than 7 days before the event: no refund will be given.
- If Pastry Palace cannot fulfill the order due to unforeseen circumstances, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
Delivery and Setup
Deliveries must be scheduled at least one hour before the reception. A responsible party must be present to inspect and sign for final cake setup. Once the cake is set up and accepted, it is no longer the responsibility of Pastry Palace. Due to high delivery volume, the delivery team cannot wait more than 10 to 20 minutes after the scheduled time.
Design Details
Pastry Palace makes every effort to create the cake according to the customer’s wishes. Customers are responsible for clearly communicating design details, colors, swatches, photographs and other cake elements. All design aspects must be delivered to the bakery no later than 7 working days before the cake delivery date and time.
Flowers for Your Cake
If real flowers are included in the cake design, the customer or florist must provide the correct type and number of flowers at least 8 hours before cake delivery time. Pastry Palace is not responsible for damages caused if other parties place flowers on the cake after delivery. Fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt or other contaminants.
If gum paste flowers are requested, Pastry Palace will try to order them in time. If they are back-ordered or do not arrive, a quality silk equivalent may be substituted to carry out the design.
Stands, Toppers and Decorations
Cake stands, dividers and other cake devices provided by Pastry Palace but not purchased by the customer must be returned within 7 days of the event to receive the related deposit refund. Failure to return these items will result in no stand deposit refund.
Cake toppers, ornaments, ribbon and other customer-provided decorative items must be delivered to Pastry Palace at least 7 days before cake delivery.
Cake Table and Climate Conditions
The customer is responsible for providing a secure, level cake table at the scheduled delivery time. If the table needs skirting or covering, it must be ready before setup. The table must support at least 50 pounds. Pastry Palace cannot be responsible for unstable tables or damage that occurs if the cake is moved after delivery.
The cake must be stored and displayed in a climate-controlled area. Heat, humidity and lack of a cool environment may affect the cake’s condition. Pastry Palace will take reasonable steps to deliver a quality product, but cannot be responsible for unfavorable conditions at the destination.
Allergens and Miscellaneous
Pastry Palace cannot guarantee that products are free of allergens, including nuts, eggs or other baking ingredients that may cause allergic reactions. The bakery makes every effort to keep baked goods free from foreign objects, but is not responsible for damages caused by candles, sparklers or decorations placed in or on products.
On occasion, Pastry Palace may photograph cakes and reserves the right to use photographs for display or promotion without notice or compensation.
