This unstoppable quartet of throwbacks to the renaissance era (at least in their names!) is still battling villains, wherever they are spotted. With their mastery of ancient weapons unchallenged, they fight for fairness and justice whenever they are called upon. Using the storm sewers of New York City as their home base, they are never far away, if needed. They're also never very far away from a slice of pizza, which is a good thing for Michelangelo, who has a particular fondness for the stuff. Thought their popularity peaked in the 80s and early 90s, they are still a force to be reckoned with, maintaining a somewhat smaller, but fiercely loyal, following. Their infectious charm has never faltered, and a live-action film was released as recently as August 2014. This design depicts the famous foursome about to emerge, once again, from the sewers, to do battle with evil. To the rescue!!
