1816 – Forgive Me Damask
Well, for all you guys out there who know what it's like to be in the "dog house" for forgetting your wife's birthday, or your anniversary (or maybe BOTH, in the same year), here's a design with a special, heart-felt message, just for you. This piece isn't overly gratuitous (which would only call further unwanted attention to your failing(s) last year), and yet it isn't just something you threw together, either. It had to be planned, in advance, and some genuine thought had to go into it (kudos for that!). You cannot go wrong with a classic black and white motif, especially when it's this beautiful damask motif. Accented with red ribbon and some smart red roses (did we mention that red roses are the universal emblem of true love?), this should get you back into her good graces, in no time. The little oval-shaped placard is a public confession that you fell short of the mark, last year, but you REALLY want to make it up to her, this trip around the sun. Willingness to admit your faults, and resolve to correct them, plus that little touch of humor, is quite the winning combination.
