This lovely design is for that "unfussy" child - no elaborate embellishments, no glitter, no extravaganza necessary, thank you very much. Simplicity and clean lines are key, here. Lavender and pink prevail, with each tier bearing cheerful dots in the opposing color - lavender dots on the pink tier, and pink dots on the lavender tier. A contrasting strand of teal-colored beads rings the base of the top tier, and a matching ribbon band culminating in a tidy, and decidedly unpretentious, bow encircles the base tier. A simple oval, announcing the name and year of the guest of honor maintains the uncomplicated overall theme. This work is just the ticket for a birthday girl who is much more interested in "substance" than "appearance" - "Lavender and Pink" is modest and demure at first glance; but when it comes to cake, it's what's on the inside that really counts!
