1496 – Tooth Fairy

Well, here she is, in all her glory: the tooth fairy, in person! The tooth fairy is a fantasy figure of early childhood. The folklore states that when a child loses a baby tooth, if he or she places it beneath the bed pillow, the tooth fairy will visit while the child sleeps, replacing the lost tooth with a small payment (or NOT so small - a 2013 survey found that American children receive $3.70 per tooth on average!). Some parents also leave trails of glitter on the floor, representing fairy dust, in order to further confuse the child. This particular tooth fairy is most likely capable of leaving her own trail of fairy dust. As she flits in and out of the child's room, at night, in her lovely ensemble of pink tutu, pink ballet slippers, and her traditional crown, she will surely startle anyone who awakes and sees her! Who knew the "Tooth Fairy" was actually a tooth, herself? She might even gently remind the child in question to floss every night before bedtime, in order to keep their teeth white and healthy. Sofia may have just lost her first or last baby tooth, or perhaps her mother or father is a dentist, but whatever the case, it's another custom job for our talented group of designers and decorators.
