All Las Vegas Cakes

This delightful piece features a single round tier, iced in beautiful spring green. Place on the edge of the top, and around the base of the cake are alternating discs in pink and blue. Perched atop the tier on delicate branches are two owls, also in pink and blue. Owls have long been associated with wisdom. This link goes back at least as far as Ancient Greece, where Athens, noted for art and scholarship, and Athena, Athens' patron goddess and the goddess of wisdom, had the owl as a symbol. This design could serve as the centerpiece for any occasion where a blessing of wisdom might be invoked. A child starting school, or anyone facing new challenges, will appreciate this good omen.
