Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink that is produced and manufactured by PepsiCo. Created and developed in 1893 and introduced as Brad’s Drink, it was renamed as Pepsi-Cola on August 28, 1898, then to Pepsi in 1961, and in select areas of North America, “Pepsi-Cola Made with Real Sugar” as of 2014. The battle between aficionados of Pepsi and Coke has been raging since Pepsi was introduced, a few years after Coca Cola was first sold. Pepsi has been marketing to the “younger generation”, quite successfully, for decades, and has a huge following among those under 30. Pepsi conducted blind taste tests in stores, in what was called the “Pepsi Challenge”. These tests suggested that more consumers preferred the taste of Pepsi. This novelty design should definitely appeal to the “true blue” Pepsi fan. Hand-molded into a very large, intensely blue, can of Pepsi, this bit of fantabulous “cakery” is faithful in every detail.
