This colorful affair begins with a single rectangular cake, but then things get interesting! The icing is dramatically applied in yellow, blue, and red, with in-between shades appearing where the colors meet and blend. This creates a distinct “rainbow” effect, which is set off by brilliant stars, in several different sizes and hues. Two electric guitars are mounted on the top surface of this beautiful piece, one in pink, the other in black, and they look like they belong to some rockers (or “wannabes”)! An announcement, hand-drawn in bright red script, declares that the event at hand is a birthday for 10-year-old Dala. It may be that Dala has dreams of becoming a rock star, but until that occurs, this should sate her desires, quite nicely!
