This sharp looking novelty design is based on the dress blue uniform of the United States Marine Corps. It's no coincidence that this very classic uniform is utilized in nearly all recruiting advertisements for the corps. From the blue pants (complete with traditional "blood stripe"), to the midnight blue jacket that is so dark it appears to be black, the Sergeant's chevron, and finally topped off with the uber-cool dress cap, the Marine Dress Blue uniform has, with few changes, been worn in essentially its current form since the 19th century.
