All Las Vegas Cakes

This is an exciting, but properly dignified design for any birthday, but particularly so for Dad's 60^th. This is an ideal selection for someone who doesn't want any "fuss" made over this big birthday, but is not averse to some degree of celebration. A relatively simple design (except for all those blue and white stars shooting out everywhere!) this round tier is iced in a beautiful deep blue and wrapped up just like a gift, in ribbon bands of black and white. A single strand of tiny white pearls adorns the ribbon of black satin that rings the base of the tier, and adds just a touch of "bling" to this otherwise (sort of) sedate affair. The celebratory stars of blue and white might be just the remainder of fireworks, which would certainly be appropriate for this "big one" - and the "60" takes away all the mystery of how old he might be. But they say that 60 is the new 40, anyway, so what the heck - let's have a party!
