There's something about balloons - children are universally and invariably attracted to them. This piece illustrates the dream of many a child - collecting enough balloons so that they will be lifted into the sky! The two round tiers are iced in sky blue (of course!), and beautiful fluffy white clouds float lazily along the sides of the tiers. Smaller puffs of white are strung together in rings around the base of each tier. Dozens of balloons on strings, in pink, green, blue, lavender, orange and yellow, are gathered together and are gripped by the hand of the child represented in silhouette at the base of the piece.
