1490 – White White White!
I do believe this is the original design for Snow White's wedding cake. Even the initial is correct.I know: you're thinking "But Snow White would have taken her Prince's surname", right? But it's a little known fact that her Prince's name was Florian Warshawsky. In any case, in contrast to Snow White's propensity to dress in bold, primary colors, she did opt for the traditional "White on White on White" wedding cake. Three graduated round tiers in (dare we say it?) snow white are elegantly stacked to construct a veritable tower of cakery. Stunning hand-crafted appliques in white "satin" are placed in strategic locations on the piece, and each layer is ringed at the base with a broad white satin ribbon, as well. Gigantic white peonies (the pale green centers of which provide the only hint of color in this design) along with individual petals grace the side of the cake, and crown the work in stunning fashion. The ornate cursive initial is emblazoned on in white on a white oval which is edged with tiny luminous seed pearls. For the bride who wishes to take tradition to the extreme, this selection is perfection!
