Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was created in an American comic book published by Mirage Studios in 1984 in Dover, New Hampshire. From their home in the storm sewers of New York City, they battle petty criminals, evil overlords and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society-at-large. Accompanied by the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 TV series, and the subsequent action figure line, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael (collectively known as "TMNT") were soon catapulted into pop culture history, and have remained so, in some iteration or other, since that time. "Turtle Power!" pays homage to that celebrated foursome with this decidedly GREEN design that incorporates the trademark manhole cover, and depicts the likenesses of all four of the "superheroes". A dream-come-true for any devoted fan, this design has become a classic for children's birthday celebrations.
