1366 – Pristine
This true work of art, entitled "Pristine" certainly lives up to its name. This three-tiered tower, dressed in white satin is absolutely awe inspiring. The top and bottom tiers are covered in drapes of white satin, resulting in flowing folds which create a lush textured look. The center tier acts as a simple contrast in its stark, simple quality. A veritable cornucopia of large blooms of many different flowers, still in glistening white, cascades bountifully down the front of the design. This image that this work projects is one akin to the white satin wedding dress of a privileged bride, with her bridal bouquet spilling down the front, as she is escorted down the center aisle of the family's chapel. The statement that it makes is "This is what a wedding cake aspires to be!" Anyone would be hard-pressed to argue with that assertion.
