The “Jumpman” logo, by Nike, is used to promote its Michael Jordan-related merchandise, including the fabulously successful “Air Jordan” brand of basketball shoes. It is a silhouette of Michael Jordan performing a dunk, and since 1985, the photo or logo it has accompanied Jordan/Nike merchandise. This single-tier design is decked out in contrasting red and black, with multiple iterations of the iconic logo in black and white hand-drawn on the side of the tier. The top surface of the cake is piled high with and abundance of red icing in a motif of swirled roses. Springing (or “jumping”) from the top of the cake are yet more of the “Jumpman” logos, on wires, extending up, giving them a sense of being truly airborne. For a fanatical fan of the brand, or basketball, or Michael Jordan, this is truly an homage that will be appreciated.
