Since making his debut on Nickelodeon in May of 1999, “SpongeBob” Squarepants has been a success on an enormous scale. It currently Nickelodeon’s longest-running cartoon, and SpongeBob is one of the most popular characters in children’s television. Living in his underwater hometown of Bikini Bottom (also known as Downtown), SpongeBob pals around with his friends, enjoying is life, just like anyone else.
