This design finds us in Duloc, the land ruled by King Farquaad, who has banished all fairytale characters to the swamp that Shrek calls home. This lovely setting is lush and green, replete with flowers of many varieties and colors, along with some toadstools large enough for Fiona to rest herself upon. Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey have all elected to stop here and rest, on their journey, in the soft grass and beautiful flowers. The tale is a fable, reminding us all to not judge anyone by his/her appearance, and the movie by Dreamworks was a huge hit, spawning multiple sequels. This particular specimen appears to be for one-year-old twins, Miles and Maliah, but this charming work would be at home for any birthday – child or adult – who is young at heart and can relate to the story and the lessons within it. “Shrek!” is already an “instant classic” among our clientele.
