This design is truly a work of art. It captures, to a "T", a vintage bottle of wine, painstakingly packed in a crate, with enough wood wool (more commonly known as excelsior) to ensure that it reaches its intended destination safely. The detail on the crate, simulating grained wood, and the shaved wood, are but preludes to the exquisitely hand-formed bottle resting inside. The hand–drawn textgive the pedigree (Casullo, from Buffalo, NY, 1954) and the red "lead" covering the cork matches the red of the "vintner's" crest/logo. This piece would be at home at any celebration: birthday, anniversary, retirement, "Bon Voyage", "Good Luck". For any wine aficionado, "Vintage Year" will certainly be a centerpiece to be remembered.
