1381 – Air Force / Armed Forces
This design calls forth all the respect, honor, and thanks due to a former member of that most estimable of establishments, the United States Air Force, upon his/her retirement. There are few sacrifices so grand as that of service in defense of our country. This work, in two square tiers of white, brings together all the appropriate symbols. The blue chevron with white stripes shown here denotes a rank of Master Sergeant. Draped along the side of the cake is "Old Glory", also commonly known as the "Stars and Stripes", the flag representing the entire country. Atop the cake is the seal of the Air Force, rendered in meticulous detail. A banner noting the years of service, and a sentiment of sincere gratitude from those present at this celebration marking retirement are boldly displayed. This work brings the proper sense of decorum and dignity of such an occasion front and center.
