This charming novelty design could not be more apropos. Two tiers are molded into the likeness of an open book of familiar nursery rhymes, in this work. Three of the most oft-recounted tales appear on these "pages." "Jack and Jill" is colorfully illustrated with a well at the top of the path on the green, grass-covered hill, both of our protagonists having already taken their well-known tumble, on a bright sunny day. The next page contains a brilliant night sky, featuring fluffy white clouds, twinkling stars, and the cow making his now-famous leaf over the moon, beautifully conveying the story "Hey, Diddle, Diddle". The last narrative we see pictured is "Humpty Dumpty", predictably sitting atop his nemesis, the wall. Lovely white flowers edge the border of the first page, framing the "Congratulations" to the parents-to-be, and the bookmark of green and blue ribbon is a nod to bygone days - those days before the advent of "e-books" - reminding one and all of the simplicity and joy of tangible books.
