Barney & Friends was an American children's television series aimed at children from ages 1 to 8. The series, which first aired on April 6, 1992, featured the title character Barney, a purple anthropomorphicTyrannosaurus rex who conveys educational messages through songs and small dance routines with a friendly, child-like attitude. Who hasn't heard these famous lyrics (and maybe wanted to punch whoever was singing them, around the office??): "I love you; You love me; We're a happy family; With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you; Won't you say you love me too?" Need I say more to jog your memory? Barney was extremely popular with the younger set, and still is, to many. This design perfectly captures the innocence and optimism that was at the heart of the program. This charming two-tiered affair, in sky blue, with rainbows and happy smiling clouds, accented by multi-colored stars and lovely pastel colors is just the thing for a first birthday party. Barney is so glad he was invited!
