Lalaloopsy is an American line of plastic rag dolls from MGA Entertainment. They were originally released in 2010 as Bitty Buttons but the brand name was changed to Lalaloopsy shortly after launch. Each doll character was created with a fictional theme, reflecting the day she is born, the fabric she is sewn from, and her pet. Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment, said that the dolls were “designed to teach kids that everybody is unique in their own special way.” With their button eyes and hair in a variety of colors from the rainbow, they were a huge success for the holiday season, in 2010. This charming design is comprised of several of the more popular models along with fabric samples, spools of brightly colored thread, and LOTS of buttons. Set against a background of a two tiered superstructure, in pink and blue, this colorful and delightful piece is ideal for any little girl’s birthday bash!
