1757 – Boston Red Sox

For any true-blue, loyal fan, nothing else will do. Founded in 1901 as one of the American League's eight charter franchises, the Red Sox's home ballpark has been Fenway Park since 1912. Since that time, they have appeared in 12 World Series, and won 8 of them. Having won the very first World Series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and going on to win 4 more by 1918, the team entered a drought which was dubbed by some the "Curse of the Bambino." After its alleged beginning with the Red Sox's sale of Babe Ruth to the rival New York Yankees two years after their world championship in 1918, an 86-year wait before the team's sixth World Championship in 2004. Today's Red Sox fans are not nearly as beleaguered as their predecessors. The team has done very well in the last few seasons. This design incorporates elements of the uniform, cap, and Fenway, itself, in a salute to that extremely popular team. The only thing holding back their attendance record is the capacity of Fenway Park. Conjuring up images of an afternoon at the ballpark, "Boston Red Sox" is ideal for the Sox fan in your circle!
