1570 – Elvis in Las Vegas

While it may not be the "wedding capital of the world", technically, where else can you get married by a minister who is channeling Elvis? The answer to that, young Grasshopper, is: "Nowhere!" And anyway, why would you want to go anywhere else? This design is a perfect fit for a 2nd (or 3rd) marriage - two tiers, in sparkling white; one with a large black diamond motif, the other wrapped up in red ribbon stripes. The bottom tier sports a replica of the world-famous "Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, with "REMARRIED" replacing the traditional "Welcome." In keeping with the "Elvis" theme, two splendid renditions of guitars, one in pink, the other in black and blue, adorn the side of the work. The crowning splendor is a photo of "The King", himself, in his famous gold lame suit. This complete suit (jacket, pants, belt, tie, and shoes) was worn only three times, in 1957. The suit is credited to Nudie Cohn, who also given credit for being the first designer to put rhinestones on the outfits of country music singers, which led to the term "Rhinestone Cowboy." "Elvis in Las Vegas" is a perfect wedding cake for that Las Vegas wedding.
