This charming work has a “Mardi Gras” flavor. The lower of the two tiers is iced in a stunning royal blue, then ornately decorated with hand drawn artwork in gold. Gold beading creates a scalloped edge along the top of the tier, and the base is edges with a twisted braid executed in several shades of gold. Another braid of twisted gold edges the top tier of the piece, which is done up in a lighter shade of blue, and also decked out in hand-drawn flourishes in gold.
